Acer to launch super thin frameless notebook

Dubbed as some revolutionary stuff in the offing, Acer’s new innovation might have everything that needs to make the tech world sit back and take note. The new ultra-thin notebook is expected to put to use the back of the panel’s glass substrate as the cover. It s being rumored that Acer would be going in for Corning’s reinforced glass substrate and then print color on its back to allow the substrate to function like a notebook cover for a frameless design. This is to be done in such a way that the design will cut thickness and make it thinner. The touch keyboard in the meanwhile cut down the notebook to look even thinner.
This may not be the first ever such device, as we have earlier seen concepts from companies like Fujitsu – as seen in the picture – and Asus. By the looks of it, the Acer concept might get real soon, and as we have earlier mentioned, it would arrive by the second half of 2010. We are dying to see one.
